2Hr Aquarist APT Balance is a concentrated, dry-powder bacterial supplement designed to support biological filtration, accelerate aquarium cycling, and help maintain a stable microbial environment. Specially formulated for aquasoil-based planted aquariums, it contains resilient bacterial cultures suited to the lower-pH conditions commonly found in aquasoil setups.

Its two-part formula combines nitrifying bacteria with waste-digesting microbes to support the aquarium’s biological processes and help break down organic waste.

🧪 How to Use

For a new aquarium, add one sachet of A and one sachet of B for approximately 100 litres of aquarium water.

For smaller aquariums, adjust the quantity proportionally. APT Balance can also be used during routine maintenance or after significant changes to the aquarium’s biological environment.

Turn off the UV steriliser for 24 hours after application. Follow the product instructions for the recommended amount and frequency.

💧 Recommended Dosage

Standard dosage: 1 Sachet A + 1 Sachet B per approximately 100 litres of aquarium water.

For a 50-litre aquarium, use approximately half the recommended quantity of each sachet.

Excess bacterial supplementation may cause temporary surface slime or cloudy water, so follow the recommended dosage.

🌿 When to Use APT Balance

APT Balance is useful when establishing a new aquarium, after a tank reset, following filter cleaning, or when adding new livestock and seeking additional biological support.

Although it can help accelerate cycling, it does not mean the aquarium is immediately ready for fish or shrimp. Allow the biological system to establish and verify that water parameters are suitable before introducing livestock.

⚠️ Important Notes

APT Balance supports biological filtration but does not replace regular aquarium maintenance, water testing, or proper filtration. In aquariums using inert substrates without livestock or another source of ammonia, an appropriate ammonia source is necessary for the nitrifying bacteria to establish.
