ADA Aqua Soil - Amazonia Ver.2

ADA Aqua Soil - Amazonia Ver.2

ADA Aqua Soil - Amazonia Ver.2 is a natural black soil substrate developed for planted aquariums and Nature Aquarium layouts. Made from natural black soil, it provides a planted substrate environment that is well suited to aquatic plants and tropical fish.

Amazonia Ver.2 is supplied with Amazonia Supplement, a pellet-type substrate nutrient designed to enrich the substrate. The amount of supplement can be adjusted according to the plants and layout, allowing the nutrient level of the substrate to be managed according to the aquarium's needs.

Benefits for Planted Aquariums

The dark colour of Amazonia Ver.2 provides a strong visual contrast that helps aquatic plant colours stand out. Its natural soil composition also tends to bring aquarium water toward slightly acidic conditions suitable for aquatic plants and tropical fish.

The included Amazonia Supplement adds additional substrate nutrients, with nitrogen as a major nutrient, supporting healthy plant establishment and growth. The supplement can be placed beneath the soil during setup and adjusted according to the needs of the aquascape.

How to Use

Spread the appropriate amount of Amazonia Supplement evenly over the bottom of the aquarium, then cover it with Amazonia Ver.2. Shape the soil to create the desired substrate slope before planting.

Avoid washing Amazonia Ver.2 like conventional gravel. Because it is made from natural soil, disturbing or washing the granules can release fine particles and cause temporary cloudiness.

Powder Type

The Amazonia Ver.2 Powder Type uses the same natural soil material with finer granules. It can be used in smaller aquariums or as a thin top layer over normal Amazonia Ver.2, and its finer texture makes planting small, fine-rooted carpeting plants easier. The Powder Type does not include Amazonia Supplement.
