Aquarium Filter Floss

Aquarium Filter Floss – Fine Mechanical Filter Media

💧 Product Overview

Filter Floss is a lightweight mechanical filtration media designed to trap suspended particles, fine debris and floating impurities as aquarium water passes through it. Its soft, fibrous structure captures unwanted particles, helping improve water clarity and maintain a cleaner aquarium.

Suitable for a variety of aquarium filtration systems, Filter Floss can be used in canister filters, sump filters, overhead filters and other compatible setups. It is particularly useful as a fine mechanical filtration layer after coarser filter media.

✨ Key Features

- Fine Particle Filtration: Traps suspended debris and small particles to help keep aquarium water clear.

- Soft, Fibrous Structure: Provides a large contact area for capturing floating impurities.

- Versatile Application: Suitable for compatible canister, sump, overhead and other aquarium filters.

- Easy to Use: Can be cut or arranged to fit the available filter compartment.

- Supports Filter Maintenance: Helps collect debris before it accumulates in other filtration stages.

🔧 Usage & Maintenance

Place Filter Floss where water flows through it after coarse mechanical media, such as a sponge, to capture finer particles. Ensure the floss does not obstruct water flow or place excessive pressure on the filter.

Inspect it regularly and replace it when heavily clogged, discoloured or difficult to clean. If reusing the material, rinse it gently in removed aquarium water when appropriate. Avoid leaving clogged floss in place, as accumulated debris can restrict filtration and reduce flow.

⚠️ Important Notes

Filter Floss provides mechanical filtration only; it does not replace biological filter media or regular aquarium maintenance. New floss should be rinsed before use to remove loose fibres or manufacturing residue. Replace it as needed to maintain consistent water flow.
