Tropica Aquarium Soil

Tropica Aquarium Soil is a complete, ready-to-use substrate designed for planted aquariums and aquascaping. Its natural dark colour provides an attractive contrast against green and colourful aquatic plants, while its granulated structure makes planting easy and supports healthy root development.

Benefits for Planted Aquariums

Tropica Aquarium Soil provides a dedicated growing medium for aquatic plants while giving the aquarium a natural appearance. Its dark colour helps enhance the visual contrast of both green and red plants.

As an active soil, it can influence aquarium water parameters, particularly pH and carbonate hardness (KH). This makes it important to monitor water parameters after setup and during the initial period of use.

How to Use

Place the soil directly into the aquarium and shape it according to the desired aquascape. Avoid washing the soil before use, as rinsing can break down the granules and create unnecessary dust.

Plant the aquarium carefully after adding the soil. During the initial setup period, regular water changes are recommended while the aquarium stabilizes.

Important Note

Tropica Aquarium Soil is an active substrate and may lower pH and KH. Water parameters should be monitored, especially when keeping sensitive fish, shrimp, or other aquatic livestock.
